Guardian Publishes Antisemitic Cartoon

The Guardian has just published another Steve Bell classic that completely distorts the truth of what happened yesterday:

The antisemitic motifs in the cartoon are clear.
Notice the skull in the middle of the Star of David in the blue flag designed to associate Judaism’s most well known symbol with death. In that regard, its worth noting that if this was intended as a “pirate flag”, there would be bones crisscrossed underneath the skull perhaps also with a patch covering the eye of the skull. The omission was intentional. It communicates a message of death while at the same time providing the author of the cartoon with the excuse of plausible deniability.

Then there is the barbed wire to depict the Star of David and the two stripes in the Israeli flag, an obvious allusion to Auschwitz.
That this is an antisemitic cartoon is clear: the EUMC working definition of antisemitism provides that “[d]rawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis” as an example of antisemitism.

Given the number of comments yesterday in the Guardian’s live thread that accused Israel of acting like Nazis, it was only a matter of time before we would see the Nazi analogy appear above the line.

And given Steve Bell’s potential penchant for Stormfront, he is the natural choice.
