The charge that Israeli security forces are nonchalantly killing any Palestinians even “suspected” of a crime is a smear against police and soldiers who are trying to defend against ongoing and extremely well–documented attempts by Palestinians to stab and hack Jews to death – on ongoing spate of antisemitic violence (82 stabbings, 30 shootings, and 12 car rammings) which has claimed 22 lives and injured more than 200.

Most Israelis – even those who don’t support the settlement enterprise – don’t believe that continued construction across the green line (the overwhelming majority of which is located in areas which will likely become part of Israel in any future peace deal) is as important as the answer to one question: What will happen the day after a ‘peace deal’ is signed?

Among the Labour mainstream, complacency about Corbyn has been replaced by a rising sense of anger. “He claims he is a socialist, yet the first principle of socialism is supposed to be equality,” says James Bloodworth, editor of the influential Labour website Left Foot Forward. “Is he deluded enough to think that anti-Semitic terrorist groups like Hamas and Hezbollah care a jot for the human rights of women, of gay people and of Jews?”
