  1. The hijos de puta deleted both of my posts,I’m glad that you managed to save at least one of them..These putas have no finesse.

  2. Excellent, Hawkeye.

This shows CiF to be the hypocrite it is.

Nothing in either post to condemn them – they are not objectionable, and simply state the facts that CiF doesn’t wish itself or its readers to be reminded of.

    Shameful.

  3. I can never, nor will I ever understand how anyone can sell their own nation and people, down the river. We Israeli’s/Jews have enough of outsiders to do that for us.They don’t need help from us,they are doing very good job all on their very own.

A fervent Zionist, but that doesn’t mean that I agree with everything that Israel does. There are a lot of things that I don’t agree with that the Israeli Govt does.

But I would never go on/to foreign websites to diss my own people or my country. It takes a certain character that is able to do that.

  4. cnel: good on you. I agree, Israel doesn’t need any more enemies, especially not Jewish ones. Looking at the two deleted posts, I am mystified. What is the thinking at CiF? Does anyone know?

  5. The latter comment is a nazi analogy and they’re beyond the pale, I believe.

Can’t see anything wrong with the first.

  6. Excellent catch – presenting the “before’ and “after” in this way really does show the way they keep the table tilted in the direction they want.

The reason that the second comment was deleted is the determined effort by the Guardian to prevent citations from the hamas Charter appearing in order to try and hide the true nature and intent of that organization. I have noticed that there have been consistent deletions of any references to the hamas Charter by the moderators.

  7. CNEL and the Fish deserve deletion for contributing to CiF. Would you play in a sporting contest where the referees were totally biased? Would you let your children play in those contests? Add in the fact that while you are being ficked over by the refs you are getting antisemitic comments thrown at you. If the people on CiF Watch would just stop contributing Rusbridger would be forced to change or else CiF would be solely a haven for antisemites. He could start by apologizing to Melanie Phillips and transferring his daughter to reports on livestock sales. But as posters, CNEL and the Fish are the lipstick on the Guardian pig. That is why I no longer post as Leftinthedust (I am banned as wearenotblind). Just ask yourself this one question. Have you self-censored because despite the fact that there was nothing wrong with what you said, you knew you would be deleted? And you are self-censoring just to join a discussion that is biased in favor of Israel bashers and antisemites. How pathetic is that. You serve the same purpose as the house Jews when you post. “Hey look, we even got Jews on here so what could be fairer than that”.

  8. AKUS

    .

“The reason that the second comment was deleted is the determined effort by the Guardian to prevent citations from the hamas Charter”

AKUS this is such nonsense. The remark was deleted because it linked the Koran to the Nazis . You dont see a problem in this ..so you invent conspiracies…rather than examine your position.

The post was an ignorant attack on Muslims…fine for here ..but not allowed on CIF. Of course it should have been deleted.

  9. wearenotblind

    .

“. You serve the same purpose as the house Jews when you post. “

    .

I still think that some folk try to get banned so they can flounce over here claiming bias. If refering to CIF as possibly “a haven for anti Semites ” is an example of your posts.. then WTF is your problem ? It is possible they could be sued for such stupid hyperbole…also it could impact on their business. Why are you moaning that they banned you?

  10. Cnel,

‘But I would never go on/to foreign websites to diss my own people or my country. It takes a certain character that is able to do that.’

Wow. I can feel your nationalistic fervour from here. I have to say though, I’m not sure Nationalism is all that useful. History has shown us where that route goes, and it’s not a pretty road…
I say criticize away. But be aware of what exactly it is you’re criticizing. Israel is a country, like any other, and it’s policies and it’s behaviour politically etc need to be held up for inspection, just like any other. Criticisim of it’s inhabitants, unless specific, is different. That’s racism. The problem to me seems to be an inabilty on both sides of the debate to seperate the two, like you’ve done in your comment.

  11. So someone try posting the statement again without the reference to the Koran, and let’s find out… If nothing eles it might force the guardian to leave a reference to the Hamas charter up 🙂 I wouldn’t be upset in either case.

  12. Abandon hope

You are misreading AKUS. He was comparing the Hamas Charter to the ‘Final Solution’, not to the Koran. The comparison is valid, although a better comparison is ‘Mein Kampf’.

You seem touchy about the Koran. Try chapter 5, verse 21.

  13. Thisisnotariot: “Israel is a country, like any other, and it’s policies and it’s behaviour politically etc need to be held up for inspection, just like any other.” It would be fine if Israel was held up for inspection just like any other country, in other words rarely, if at all. Israel is subjected to a degree of intense and hostile scrutiny that no other country endures, not even the vilest regimes such as North Korea. Why do you suppose that is?

  14. NicoleS

” Israel is subjected to a degree of intense and hostile scrutiny that no other country endures, not even the vilest regimes such as North Korea. Why do you suppose that is?”

Israel killed a thousand of its brothers and sisiters a year ago and received support from people here… . Why do you think that is?

You are trying to shoot the messenger and you are wide of the target.

  15. The lonely troll obssesses over the Arabs paying a nominal price for their insistance on “maintaining the right” to attack Jews….

Why do you think everybody realizes that the troll isn’t a messenger, just an inconsequential whatever.

    NicoleS

    http://badnewsfromthenetherlands.blogspot.com/

You’re right on, the link is to a site that hilights the concept, no country can stand up to the scrutiny that Israel is under, she does very well considering the inordinate amount of onerous slander directed at her.

Fortunately intellectual heavyweights like our trolls are representative of the accusers.

  16. den

“..AKUS. He was comparing the Hamas Charter to the ‘Final Solution’, not to the Koran. ”

The post being discussed said “Hamas Charter quoting from the Holy Koran that Jews should be killed..should not be compared with the Nazis” etc.

I said “linked” I did not say comparing. Furthermore to say the koran says “Jews should be killed ” is so phoney.

Jews were their mortal enemies 1400 years ago when the book was written. The attempt to “ziofy ” it to suit today’s reality is so corny. It is a deliberate attempt to link the Koran with Christian anti Semitism from the last 2000 years ..culminating with the Holocaust.

  17. Abandon hope: How sadly predictable you are. Israel went to war for good reasons that have already been explained many many times. Too right it received support from people here. Peter1 thanks for the excellent link. It is truly nightmarish that people do not recognise the concept it is highlighting.

  18. ” Israel is subjected to a degree of intense and hostile scrutiny that no other country endures, not even the vilest regimes such as North Korea. Why do you suppose that is?”

I know you’d like to pretend that Israel is scrutinized so much because of anti-semitism. But unfortunately the answer isn’t nearly as interesting. Israel is scrutinized moreso than other unsavoury regimes because Israel has a bunch of readymade idiots willing to excuse her every crime. You never hear excuses made in the west about the brutality of N.Korea, or Sudan, but mention Israel and out come the excuses. Furthermore, Israel, unlike other unsavoury regimes in the world recieves funding and diplomatic support from Govts in the West. Govts we in the west elect. Govts we in the west should be horrified at support for such unsavoury regimes. Also Israel, unlike your North Koreas etc, likes to portray itself as a beacon, as a euro style democracy etc etc. So If you claim to be something you are not, you are going to get called on it. Thats how ‘wimply liberals’ work, they don’t tend to accept simple words.

  19. Abandon hope

What do you mean by “ziofy”? You are descending into humpty-dumpy language. There ain’t such word in any dictionary I know of. I might comment if I knew what you were trying to say.

And no. Jews were not the “mortal enemies” of Islam 1400 years ago or at any time. Mahomet borrowed his primary concept of monotheism from Judaism and was then rather miffed that the local Jewish communities did not want to acknowledge him as God’s messenger!

  20. Hawkeye has caught the Guardian’s institutionalised bigotry in action yet again. Their audacity in claiming to be a bastion of truth and justice is as delusional and pompous as the emperor with his new clothes. Rugsbinger et al are naked and it ain’t pretty. His plumy voice of self-assured infallibility masks an intellect debased to the lowest common denominator. Cifwatch has done another good job in exposing the true nature behind the Guardian’s ‘progressive, liberal and fair-minded’ world view.

  21. Jonny Moses

Its never about fair minded. Its about promoting their viewpoint, and muffling others.

  22. “wearenotblind”

I will post where I want and when I want.

Just have a nice cool drink, and a lie down.Just don’t get too excited, not good for the ticker.

  23. Berchmans:
“Furthermore to say the koran says “Jews should be killed ” is so phoney.

Jews were their mortal enemies 1400 years ago when the book was written.”

You insult those you defend with your unwillingness to even begin an appreciation of the nature of Islam, for you castigate its truths by wilful ignorance of its exegesis. Why do you mock Muslims so? What impudence allows you to interpret deeply held beliefs through the eyes of a western unbeliever? How can you have got this far in cognitive egocentrism that you see the Arab in terms familiar to Edward Said, patronising and contemptuous of their identity, which can only be explained by reference to your own imagined superior liberal and oh so generous fascination for those beneath you, who must be the eternal victim of your boundless good will. The Qur’an was never “written”. How can you come here and state such a heresy. Its demands upon the Umma are not for the past, but for ever, for the Prophet was not an example for the men then, but for the men now, an example even for men like you, and the message he sent is that the Jews are the worst of all, condemned in the final judgement to the solution they have only just avoided so far. What deliberate denial of Muslim text will be your next venture into the unknown and opaque but deeply held beliefs of those you champion? That women are in fact equal to men? That homosexuals should not be killed alongside apostates? That 15 year old girls should not be lashed for daring to be impregnated by their rapists?
How dare you appear as an apologist for such depredations upon the soul of man.

  24. CNEL,
I am in awe of your defiant stance on posting. Because who wouldn’t want to write something that can pass the acceptable meter according to BellaM. Kinda like playing Obama to Harry Reid. And now I think I will lay down and have that drink.

  25. Epidermoid

    .

” your unwillingness to even begin an appreciation of the nature of Islam ”

A billion folk live a low impact, peaceful life. Exactly what more do you need to know?

  26. RepublicanStones

Also Israel, unlike your North Koreas etc, likes to portray itself as a beacon, as a euro style democracy etc etc. So If you claim to be something you are not, you are going to get called on it. Thats how ‘wimply liberals’ work, they don’t tend to accept simple words.

Ah. The great scratch. The festering sore. The huge itch. Israel is a beacon for so many other countries in the world.

    This just cannot be!

All those horrible Jews scurrying about in Israel, making the desert bloom and a success story of a land that was pretty much a backwater before they arrived. They brought their hateful European style of life, built a vibrant and successful democracy (not perfect however), and, horrors upon horrors, they refused to be conquered by the ‘Followers of the Prophet’, a few of whom, were in the Holy Land but many more from outside.

It eats at the very fibre of antisemites. The anti Semites really, really hate that fact.

Especially an antisemite whose daughter is married to a Palestinian.

  27. Epidermoid

You insult those you defend with your unwillingness to even begin an appreciation of the nature of Islam, for you castigate its truths by wilful ignorance of its exegesis.

One of my fantasies is re-birthing Berchmans and Dotty as a female born to an average Saudi family.

It gives me great comfort thinking about it. Especially if they were sold off at the age of 6 to some 50+ year old lecher who was just waiting for them to menstruate before he could perform his husbandly duties.

  28. The biblical injunction that Israel is/will be ‘A light amongst the nations’ coupled with the biblical account of Jews as a ‘chosen’ people have both been seized upon by Jew haters of all denominations as reason to castigate and further hate Jews. These sneering and, of course, profoundly envious ‘accusations’ were and are coupled with triumphant contempt whenever Israel/Jews fall in reaching idealised ‘standards’ imposed on Jews by non-Jews.

This particular form of attack on Jews emerges from the theology of both Christianity and Islam; it is imperative for both to believe that Judaism has been superceeded and consequently that the ancient blessings contained in the Tanach no longer apply to Jews but instead apply to Christians and Muslims.

  29. Didn’t Matt Seaton say he wanted to see evidence of reasonable comment censored on cif? Well here it is – again. So what do you say Mr Seaton?

  30. One of the interesting aspects of Yoav Shamir’s movie is the way it is now being picked up by anti-Semites who can use it to “prove” that claims of anti-Semitism are overstated.

Very few Israelis have experienced anti-Semitism, and they are in many ways totally unprepared and unable to really understand the phenomenon. That is, in fact, one of the benefits of living in Israel, of course.

Shamir’s doumentary hits all the right points to be used as a weapon – Shamir is Israeli and Jewish, therefore his opinions are de facto correct and representative of all Jews, his selection of interviews (and I have not seen them all – somehow I picked up a few minutes at the start before tuning out and now its only available in the UK).

This is a marvelous example of cognitive dissonance so typical of this issue, specially on CiF – anti-Semites using a movie that states that anti-Semitism is overstated to prove that they are not anti-Semites. Therefore, comments like cubanoeslibre’s had to be deleted to avoid contaminating the narrative by pointing out the flaws in Shamir’s position.

    Quite remarkable.

  31. AKUS

    .

“on CiF – anti-Semites using a movie that states that anti-Semitism is overstated to prove that they are not anti-Semites. ”

I cracked a joke on CIFwatch about the “trollfinder general ” but its no joke is it really? Your premise above starts with them being anti Semites…yet you do not see this. Your automatic assumption is they are anti Semities otherwise your sentence makes no sense whatsoever.

It is just like Salem ..the witches having to prove they are not witches but
if they deny being a witch this is proof enough.

  32. John

“‘chosen’ people … seized upon by Jew haters of all denominations ”

I speak from the Scottish Apostolic Church [Catholicosate of Cilicia]: Eastern Prelacy , Reformed , and have to say I have no problem with the word “chosen”..they were “chosen” to speak what they felt was Gods word.

It is the F16s I worry about! 🙂

  33. Funny commentary by Lozowick

    http://yaacovlozowick.blogspot.com/2010/01/odd-case-of-seismic-shock.html

    I love this bit:

“In addition, here’s a suggestion for all the oppressed Zionists in the United Kingdom, suffering from anti-Jewish agitation and the cruel hand of the Inquisitors: Me, I’m out of range. This allows me not to hide my identity, and certainly not to worry about policemen at my door if I poke fun at nasty clergy. (Though if you believe our homegrown radicals, our police are also cracking down, but that’s tosh). So if any of you have got any samizdat materials you’d like to smuggle out to the West (well, east), I’ll be glad to serve as a post board. You can find my e-mail address on the lower left of this screen.”

  34. Berchmans

“It is the F16s I worry about! :)”

When they fly over your house, run outside and wag your finger disapprovingly at them.

  35. they were “chosen” to speak what they felt was Gods word.

No – you misunderstand. Go back and study.

  36. SarahLeah

“Nothing in either post to condemn them – they are not objectionable, ”

Sarah one of them links Islam with Nazis. You dont object but this does not mean they are not objectionable to non fixates.

  37. ‘Very few Israelis have experienced anti-Semitism, and they are in many ways totally unprepared and unable to really understand the phenomenon.’

    Very true.
