Ahmed Moor: Destroy Israel! (Part 1)

This is a cross-post from Huffington Post Monitor

The odious Ahmed “One State” Moor is back again on the Huffington Post. This time his calls to destroy the Jewish state (and the Jewish state alone) are longer and louder than ever before. In his latest article, “Israel Cannot Be Both Jewish And Democratic,” he not only clearly demonstrates his profound hatred for “Zionism” and Israel but also demonstrates his ignorance on both of those topics. Not that I am entirely surprised, given that he is based in Lebanon and apparently has devoted his life to defaming Israel in any way he can.

Because this article is so revealing about the thought processes I’m going to cover the whole thing but in the interests of time I’ll start with this paragraph and write about the rest tomorrow morning:

“Zionism — the idea that Jewish people ought to have a Jewish state in mandate Palestine — is anachronistic in the 21st century. The idea that non-Jews who have lived on the land for generations before the creation of the state of Israel should be relegated to second-class citizenship because they’re not Jewish is illiberal. It’s also racist.”

So many responses…

1. Why is it “racist” for Jewish people to want to have a Jewish state but not racist for Palestinian Arabs to want a Palestinian state? What is the difference between those groups beside their name and religion? This is the one question that no anti-Zionist will be able to answer, because it means either endorsing a double standard against the Jews or admitting his or her hypocrisy.

2. Mr. Moor also does a great job setting up a strawman, another typical anti-Zionist tactic. Just because Israel is a Jewish state does not mean that non-Jews will have “second-class citizenship.” Italy was not created for Germans to live there but Germans immigrants enjoy the same rights. In fact according to Jimmy Carter, both Jews and non-Jews enjoy equal rights in Israel. Is Mr. Moor really going to claim he knows the situation better than Jimmy Carter?

3. Mr. Moor also misconstrues the history. The Palestinians have not lived on that land for “millennia,” not even according to themselves. There is evidence that a large percentage of them are recent immigrants, and in testimony before the Anglo-American Committee in 1946, for example, they claimed a connection to Palestine of more than 1,000 years, dating back no further than the conquest of Muhammad’s followers in the 7th century.

4. Finally, as for the claim that Zionism is “illiberal,” why don’t we ask someone who doesn’t have a rabid hatred of Israel and everything it stands for?

Tune in tomorrow. I’m just getting started.

  1. Ahmed is surely a CiF ‘graduate’.

Finally, as for the claim that Zionism is “illiberal,” why don’t we ask someone who doesn’t have a rabid hatred of Israel and everything it stands for?

Just relating to that is silly. Achmed should ask the thousands of Muslim workers from East Africa why they brave death in Egypt to get to Apartheid Israel.

The HuffPost is embarrassing itself posting rants from this turd.

  2. This stuff beggars belief.

Almost every land that islam has conquered is now a muslim country (constitutionally or in all but name) whose original inhabitants were either coerced into conversion or failing that, kicked out or killed.

Islam and its followers have done for centuries everything that this guy accuses Jews and Israel of (might) doing, only difference, Zionism hasn’t done anything remotely like what Islam has done to its non-believers.

In short, muslims will not live under a non-islamic law, least of all a Jewish law. And you only have to go a few decades back and look at the creation of Pakistan. The country is constitutionally Islamic, has cleansed itself of all its original Hindus, Sikhs and Christians and is now truly a Land of the Pure, NOT.

This guy could make a decent living writing for Guardian. Him and Rachel Shabi is a match made in hell (or Cif, same thing).

  3. Oh give over do, pretzeberg. You are missing the wood for the trees again.

Islam destroys civilisations of host countries and any values with which it does not agree once it becomes the majority in any one country. Look at the attempts to do so in New York and elsewhere in Europe.

It destroys them by undermining the rule of law – think riots and threats of and actual violence, or messing with politicians’ heads by telling them lies about its intentions.

Rural, Islam, being a total belief system which governs every aspect of the believer’s life, nurtures paranoia, even privileges it. One aspect of paranoid ideation is projecting onto the perceived enemy the motives and behaviours of which one is guilty, and insisting that one is pure as the driven snow by telling lie upon lie if necessary and continuing to lie even when confronted with evidence that one is lying!

The prime mover of the mosque near Ground Zero is a prime example of the latter, and Hamas’ and other Islamist yowling whenever they are caught out are examples of the former.

Oh give over do, pretzeberg. You are missing the wood for the trees again.

I was specifically referring to Ahmed Moor and the article/headline’s suggestion that he has declared “Destroy Israel!”

  5. “Why is it “racist” for Jewish people to want to have a Jewish state but not racist for Palestinian Arabs to want a Palestinian state?”

because a Palestinian state is for all people of Palestine…not just reserved for any Tom, Dick or Harry immigrant from Brooklyn, Moscow or wherever, who just happens to be the ‘right’ religion. That’s real RACISM, as you damn well know but haven’t got the guts to come out and say!

  6. St. Fair to All (fair to all Palestinians? fair to al-lah?),

Note: Since I doubt that your intellectual capacity enables you to read the following amount of words, you might as well skip to the last paragraph of this comment.

There are a number of questions that you should have asked yourself:

    1. Besides your holiness, does any Palestinian, Arab or Muslim really believe that “a Palestinian state is for all Palestinians”?

Hamas, at best, would grant Jews the right to be “dhimmis”. A quick reminder: one of the dhimmi’s obligations is to wear a distinctive yellow piece of cloth. Another reminder: the last time Jews were forced to wear such stuff, it didn’t end too well… As for Fatah: well, allow me to be a bit doubtful about how they would ensure Jewish rights, with their great democratic achievements so far…

    2. France is reserved for the French. Germany for the Germans. Should I go on and count all the members of the UN, all nation states based on that principle? Some of those countries allow immigration, although they are not obliged to do that. Do you call France, Germany and all the rest racist?

As for what’s real racism and who and why thinks so, I suggest you read the following, from the article about Zionism in Wikipedia:

“The United Nations General Assembly passed Resolution 3151 72 to 36, with 32 abstentions, in December 1973, stating that there was an “unholy alliance between South African racism and Zionism.” [36] Resolution 3379, stating in its conclusion that “Zionism is a form of racism and racial discrimination”, passed in November 1975, with many Arab, African, South Asian, Latin American and Soviet bloc states voting in favor of it.[37][38] The resolution was opposed by most of the Western world.[citation needed]

As the war in Iraq began and the South African apartheid government and the Soviet Union collapsed, the resolution was repealed, in 1991, with Resolution 4686, after Israel declared that it would only participate in the Madrid Conference of 1991 if the resolution were revoked.[36] [39][40]”

The countries that sponsored Resolution 3379:
Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Cuba, Dahomey, Egypt, Guinea, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libyan Arab Republic, Mauritania, Morocco, North Yemen, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, South Yemen, Sudan, Syrian Arab Republic, Tunisia, and United Arab Emirates.
The list of countries that supported Resolution 3379 (equating Zionism and racism): Albania, Bangladesh, Brazil, Bulgaria, Burundi, Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic, Cambodia (formally known as Democratic Kampuchea), Cameroon, Cape Verde, Chad, People’s Republic of China, Congo, Cyprus, Czechoslovakia, Equatorial Guinea, Gambia, German Democratic Republic, Grenada, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Iran, Laos, Madagascar, Malaysia, Maldives, Mali, Malta, Mexico, Mongolia, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Rwanda, São Tomé and Príncipe, Senegal, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Turkey, Uganda, Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.

    Hmmmm… seems you’re in good company….

Even more interesting is the following from the “Resolution 4686”
    article of Wikipedia:

United Nations General Assembly Resolution 46/86 passed on December 16, 1991, revoked Resolution 3379 with a vote of 111 to 25, with 13 abstentions.

The 25 countries who voted against, or in other words, agreed with his holiness St. Fair to All, are the same countries who sponsored the resolution in 1975:
Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Cuba, Dahomey, Egypt, Guinea, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libyan Arab Republic, Mauritania, Morocco, North Yemen, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, South Yemen, Sudan, Syrian Arab Republic, Tunisia, and United Arab Emirates.

In other words: After democracy arrived at the Communist block, they stopped equating Zionism with racism.

I think that this is sufficient in proving that equating Zionism with racism isn’t a matter of guts, as you put it.
Rather, it shows that are idiots/assholes like yourself, who like licking Islamofacist ass.

  7. “because a Palestinian state is for all people of Palestine” says Fair to All who has apparently been appointed spokesperson for the Palestinians too recently to have read the bit where Abbas said
” that he would block any Jewish soldiers from serving with an international force stationed on PA-controlled land.

“I will never allow a single Israeli to live among us on Palestinian land,” Abbas declared. Israel is home to a sizable proportion of Arab citizens, who have the vote and are represented by Arab parties in the Knesset.
because a Palestinian state is for all people of Palestine”

  8. Fair to All, your comments show a lack of knowledge about citizenship laws in the rest of the world. Others have made this point, but let me remind you that there are 57 members of the Organization of Islamic Conference – that is, 57 self-described Islamic nations who reserve citizenship rights for Muslims that they don’t grant to non-Muslims. Some Islamic nations have laws specifically forbidding not only citizenship for non-Muslims, but even the religious practice of Christianity, Judaism, etc. Do you not know this? Even in democratic countries, citizenship is bestowed upon those who share the majority ethnic orientation. Greece for those with Greek ancestry; Germans for those with German ancestry; etc. Far from being unique, Israel is quite typical of most Western democratic nations in its laws pertaining to citizenship. I’d really suggest that you do a bit of research before engaging in casual accusations of racism against Israel. You really don’t stand on solid ground at all when leveling such a charge.
