  1. I saw TV coverage of Tahir Square the other day (perhaps from when the shot above was taken), which included a glossy mass-produced banner-poster declaring in Arabic, Hebrew and English: “I want to be in a war against Israel before I die.”
    (I forget the exact wording, but that was the essential message).

    Not exactly encouraging.

  2. Notice the dark piping and incredibly good needlework on the hanging Israeli dummy. Do they now have sewing machines in Egypt and, if so, are they perhaps Israeli imports?
