What the Guardian won’t report: Mother of 4 terrorist murderers chosen by Abbas to launch statehood bid

H/T Medusa and Armaros

Imagine, if you will, the likely reaction by the Guardian if the family of Baruch Goldstein – who massacred 29 Muslims in Hebron, in 1994 – was honored by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

What’s truly disturbing about the continuing Palestinian glorification of terrorists who murder Israeli civilians, other than, of course, what it says about Palestinian society, is the fact that the Western media almost completely ignores it.

Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) reported today that the Palestinian Authority chose the mother of 4 terrorist murderers, one of whom killed seven Israeli civilians and attempted to killed twelve others, as the person to launch their statehood campaign with the UN.

Latifa Abu Hmeid

In a widely publicized event, the PA had Latifa Abu Hmeid lead the procession to the UN offices in Ramallah, handing over a letter to UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon.

PMW provided information (which was, for some reason, not reported by the Guardian or the rest of the MSM) about the background of Latifa Abu Hmeid:

The official PA daily reported that she launched the UN campaign last week, and noted that she is the “mother of seven prisoners and of the Shahid (Martyr) Abd Al-Mun’im Abu Hmeid.” However, the paper did not mention that 4 of her imprisoned sons are murderers.

Palestinian Media Watch reported last year that Abu Hmeid then had 4 sons in Israeli prisons who were each serving between two and seven life sentences, a total of 18 life sentences.

Again, per PMW:

The four sons are serving a total of 18 life sentences for the following crimes:

Nasser Abu Hmeid
 – 7 life sentences + 50 years – commander in Fatah’s military wing the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades in Ramallah. Convicted of killing seven Israeli civilians and 12 attempted murders.

Nasr Abu Hmeid – 5 life sentences – Member of terror faction of Fatah, Tanzim, and convicted of involvement in two terror attacks and arms dealing.

Sharif Abu Hmeid – 4 life sentences – a member in one of the brothers’ units carrying out terror attacks against civilians and soldiers. Accompanied a suicide bomber to his attack in March 2002.

Muhammad Abu Hmeid – 2 life sentences + 30 years – involvement in terror attacks.

A fifth son, Abd Al-Mun’im Muhammad Yusuf Naji Abu Hmeid, the one refered to as “Martyr,” was a member of the military wing of Hamas, Izz A-Din Al-Qassam Brigades, and planned and carried out the ambush and murder of an Israeli intelligence officer.

And, the Guardian simply can’t imagine why any sane person would have reservations about the immediate creation of a Palestinian state.

  1. What was it that Golda Meir said about the Arabs loving their children? From any standpoint; religious, human, civilized, ethical, maternal, etc, there is something seriously dysfunctional about these people.

  2. I guess she’s the Palestinian equivalent of Audie Murphy’s mom.

What these people need is an Enlightenment.

    • Nah. She’s the “palestinian” equivalent of a waffen-ss mom.

Both share the same genocidal spirit.

      • My point is about the moral bankruptcy of the Palestinians. The U.S has Washington and Jefferson; the Palestinians have Arafat and Yassin. The U.S. has Audie Murphy and the Four Chaplains; the Palestinians have Dalal Mughrabi and Samir Kuntar.

  3. During ‘the Age of Enlightenment’ the Islamic world was away having lunch. To identify advances in knowledge and culture from that source you’d have to travel back to the 14th century.

    • If the Islamic world was having lunch during the Enlightenment, what exactly was Europe’s excuse during the Shoah? Or did the Enlightenment not kick in for a while?

This is disgusting, no questions asked. But blanket theories of the whole Muslim world usually don’t hold much water, unless we very carefully forget the rest of world history.

  4. Proof positive, if any is needed, that the Palestinian leadership is off its collective rocker.

Is this ghastly rubbish for home consumption (which is nasty enough on its own but really nothing new given that Abbas regularly praises suicide murderers) or are they trying to impress the UN enough to welcome them into the community of nations?

Now I know that the UN is overrun with Islamist supporting bots but will the rest of the world really fall for this?

This may sound very far fetched but I think I know what is going on here:

Rather like a husband in a loveless and spite-filled marriage, who wants to leave but lacks the spine to initiate anything for fear of being blamed for abandoning his wife and family, Abbas is behaving more and more like the thoroughgoing sh*t he is in the hope that his “wife”, ie the civilised intelligent part of the UN, will eventually reach the end of her patience and sling him out on his ear. This will mean that, in spite of his nasty behaviour, he will be perceived as having been wronged rather than she and he can bleat to his friends, family and anyone who will listen about what a poor thing he is and that she threw him out.

Will Abbas up the ante of outrageous behaviour in the hope that the UN will say NO (which is what he really wants), and so as to be able to feel wronged (his default mental state) and blame Israel and America?

  5. Drew and others, may I suggest that you read “The Closing of the Muslim Mind: How Intellectual Suicide Created the Modern Islamist Crisis” by Robert R Reilly. A bit dense in parts but it gives an excellent analysis of how and why the enlightenment from which the rest of the world benefited and became enriched bypassed Islam and why, unless there is a groundshaking change in the way Muslims are permitted to approach the theology of their belief system, ie questioningly and critically, Islam will remain petrified in time.

  6. “What was it that Golda Meir said about the Arabs loving their children?”

Wikiquote has an interesting little piece on the quote + variants and sources:

“Peace will come when the Arabs will love their children more than they hate us.” – Statement to the National Press Club in Washington, D. C. in 1957, as quoted in A Land of Our Own : An Oral Autobiography (1973) edited by Marie Syrkin, p. 242

“Peace will come to the Middle East when the Arabs love their children more than they hate us.” – As quoted in Media Bias and the Middle East (2003) by Paul Carlson, p. 10

“Peace will come when the Arabs start to love their children more than they hate us.” – As quoted in The Agony of the Promised Land (2004) by Joshua Levy, Ch. 23 “The Hope for Peace”, p. 187

Some other great Golda quotes (same link as above)

“We have always said that in our war with the Arabs we had a secret weapon — no alternative. The Egyptians could run to Egypt, the Syrians into Syria. The only place we could run was into the sea, and before we did that we might as well fight. ”

“We don’t thrive on military acts. We do them because we have to, and thank God we are efficient.”

“The man of the Cross, who heads the church whose symbol is the Cross, under which Jews were killed for generations. I could not escape the feeling. It stuck with me. And he felt it — that a Jewess was sitting opposite him.” – On an audience with Pope Paul VI at the Vatican (20 January 1973)

“To be or not to be is not a question of compromise. Either you be or you don’t be.”

“When peace comes, we will perhaps in time be able to forgive the Arabs for killing our sons, but it will be harder for us to forgive them for having forced us to kill their sons.”

“Arab sovereignty in Jerusalem just cannot be. This city will not be divided — not half and half, not 60-40, not 75-25, nothing.”

“Above all, this country is our own. Nobody has to get up in the morning and worry what his neighbors think of him. Being a Jew is no problem here.”

    • The greatest Golda quote of them all:

“There were no such thing as Palestinians. When was there an independent Palestinian people with a Palestinian state? It was either southern Syria before the First World War, and then it was a Palestine including Jordan. It was not as though there was a Palestinian people in Palestine considering itself as a Palestinian people and we came and threw them out and took their country away from them. They did not exist.”

The Jewish State has been nothing but paying through the nose in the PR department for having “progressed beyond” Golda’s argument. There is no greater stupidity than adopting your enemy’s propaganda—which is all this non-Jewish “Palestinian nation” fakery is.

    • ziontruth,

      you wrote:

There is no greater stupidity than adopting your enemy’s propaganda…

And adopting the propaganda of malicious racist genocidal enemies of one’s own people has always been the modus operandi of the Jewish people. Hence the situation that the Jewish people have continuously been in throughout all of their existence. Hence the reason that I refer to the Jewish people, the people of whom I have been born a member in my current birth, as being, truly, the most stupid people in the world.

However, I hope that they, we, will be begin to be mindful, and that they, we, will, as a result, begin to tell the truth, and, therein, verbally defend themselves, ourselves, like normal human beings, and therein, protect themselves, ourselves, form harm, and I hope that that they, we, will do so soon; “soon” meaning: now; “now” meaning: immediately.

      • “And adopting the propaganda of malicious racist genocidal enemies of one’s own people has always been the modus operandi of the Jewish people.”

You’re sick. Not just a stupid statement, but a foul lie. & I’m amazed, because it’s at odds with the rest of your writings.

        • FedUp, vicious ant-Jewish racist,

One Jewish person, such as myself, or some additional other Jewish people, do not constitute the entirety of the ethnic and social group of whom they are members.

  7. To my fellow Jewish people,

I apologize for the harmful words that I wrote in my previous comment.

I wrote those harmful words in frustration and anger. I apologize. I was vexed and frustrated when I wrote those words. I don’t want to cause any harm to anyone. I am trying very hard to protect my fellow Jewish people – I am trying very hard to protect the nation of the Jewish people from being annihilated – and I have not been able to communicate to my fellow Jewish people what needs to be done in order to protect the nation of the Jewish people from being annihilated. I am very frustrated and distressed about the situation that Israel is in, and I am very frustrated and distressed that I have been unable to communicate what needs to be done in order protect the nation of the Jewish people from being annihilated.

In order to protect Israel from being annihilated by diplomacy, propaganda, and military attack, Jewish people, and most importantly, Israeli Jewish political leaders – most importantly, the leaders of the government of Israel – need to mindfully, clearly, firmly, communicate the factual history, and current reality, of the situation that Israel is in to the television news media of Western countries, and directly to the leaders of Western countries, and to the television news media of Israel.

The leaders of the government of Israel must stop colluding with, and must stop collaborating with, and must stop appeasingly acquiescing to the lies of, the members of the political organizations of the ‘Palestinian movement’, most importantly Fatah-PLO-PalestinianAuthority.

The ‘Palestinian movement’ is a racist genocidally anti-Jewish political movement which was founded by a co-architect of the Nazi ‘Final Solution’, Amin al-Husseini. Amin al-Husseini was the most prominent, most influential, Muslim leader in the Muslim world from the 1920’s until the late 1940’s. Beginning in 1920, Amin al-Husseini led murderous anti-Jewish riots and massacres (including the Hebron Massacre) in the British Mandate of Palestine, and, in 1928, joined the authoritative-orthodox-Islam-based, “Protocols-of-the-Elders-of-Zion”-malicious-conspiracy-theory-ideology-about-the-Jewish-people-based, Nazi-inspired, Nazi-affiliated, racist genocidally anti-Jewish political organization the Muslim Brotherhood. From 1941 to 1945, Amin al-Husseini resided in Germany and was an adjoined official of the Nazi regime of Germany, and was a co-architect of the genocide of the Jewish people in Europe by the Nazi regime of Germany, and, from 1941 to 1945, broadcasted, from the most powerful radio station that existed in Germany at that time, Radio Zeesen, authoritative-orthodox-Islam-based, “Protocols of the Elders of Zion”-malicious-conspiracy-theory-ideology-about-the-Jewish-people-based, genocidally anti-Jewish, and anti-American, and (turning on his former patrons) anti-British, and anti-democracy, pro-Nazi, radio programs in Arabic and Turkish and Farsi (the Persian language) to all of the countries in the Middle East. Those radio programs were popular in Muslim societies in the Middle East, and were radio programs of which Ruhollah Khomeini, the then-future-founder of the Shia branch of the modern Islamic supremacist political movement, was, as a young man in Iran, a dedicated, and regular, listener. In 1948, Amin al-Husseini, as the head of the Arab Higher Committee, coordinated the self-proclaimedly intendedly genocidal 1948 Muslim Arab attack on Israel by the armies of several Arab states. Amin al-Husseini was the mentor of, and an uncle of, Egyptian-born Yasser Arafat (Mohammed Yasser Abdel Rahman Abdel Raouf Arafat al-Qudwa al-Husseini). In 1954, in Egypt, Yasser Arafat and other Muslim Arab university students / Muslim Arab Nazi terrorist commandos, under the guidance of Amin al-Husseini, founded Fatah. In 1964, in Egypt, then-President of then-Soviet-supported Egypt, Gamal Abdel Nasser, and members of the Soviet KGB, founded the PLO (Palestinian Liberation Organization). During between the years 1969 and 1970, Yasser Arafat, as the head of Fatah, took the position of head of the PLO.

The 1948 Muslim Arab attack on Israel created 800,000 to 1,000,000 Jewish refugees from Muslim states in the Middle East.

The 1948 Muslim Arab attack on Israel created 450,000 to 700,000 Arab refugees from Israel.

Since the end of World War II, there have been tens of millions of refugees in the world, almost all of whom have been relocated to, and absorbed into, the countries to which they fled or were expelled (such as several million ethnically German people who lived in the Sudetenland of Czechoslovakia (Sudeten Germans) who, immediately after World War II, were expelled from the Sudetenland of Czechoslovakia, and who were, subsequently, relocated to, and absorbed into, Germany).

Leaders of the government of Israel have repeatedly agreed to the creation of a ‘Palestinian’ Arab state within the part of the ‘British Mandate of Palestine’ that did not become Jordan. Leaders of the government of Israel have repeatedly agreed to the creation of a ‘Palestinian’ Arab state which would be constituted by over ninety percent of what, when, from 1949 to 1967, Jordan was occupying it, and had annexed it into Jordan, Jordanian officials renamed to the name “The West Bank” (referring to that area of land as “the west bank” of the Jordan river) (the Jewish land Yehouda and Shomron (Judea and Samerea)).

Leaders of the government of Israel have repeatedly agreed to the creation of such an Arab state – a so-called ‘Palestinian’ Arab state – in addition to the over 20 currently existing Arab states – *ON THE CONDITION* THAT THE WOULD-BE LEADERS OF THAT WOULD-BE ARAB STATE, AND THE LEADERS OF THE OTHER MUSLIM ARAB STATES SURROUNDING ISRAEL, WOULD OFFICIALLY AGREE TO END THEIR EFFORT TO ANNIHILATE THE NATION OF THE JEWISH PEOPLE.
