An open condemnation of the murder of Mohammed Abu Khdeir

We* unequivocally condemn the horrific murder of Mohammed Abu Khdeir. It was unjustifiable under any circumstances. The killing was reprehensible and we hope that the criminals who did this sickening act are found and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Israel is a country run by the rule of law. There are reports that Jews have been arrested for this crime. If a trial finds that Jews are indeed guilty of this unconscionable killing, our condemnation is redoubled. The idea that Jews could do such an act fills us with shame and horror.

The people who murdered Mohammed do not represent us in any way. It is not enough to dissociate ourselves from the dreadful act; we must also ensure that crimes like this are never repeated.

Just as the appalling murders of Naftali Fraenkel, Eyal Yifrach and Gilad Shaar do not in any way justify the hideous murder of Mohammed Abu Khdeir, neither does Khdeir’s murder justify the violence, terrorism, destruction and incitement we have seen over the past few days against Israelis and Jews. We hope and pray that everyone, Arab and Jew, lives in peace and security in the region.

  1. I support the condemnation of the murder of Mohammed Abu Khdeir, it is a totally unjustifiable and unconscionable act.

Many people use the quote, “An eye for an eye”, to justify such a murder. Absolutely not! It means nothing more than to prevent excessive punishment and to ensure the victim receives the value of the injury in compensation. In other words, it cannot justify such a terrible act.

  2. These human trash are exactly on the same moral level then Hamas and co. Their punishment should be the same measured in lead weight.

    • Ken:

“Will Jews riot and burn down train railings like the Arabs do?”

      Are hinting they should?
The idiots and mentaly challanged who carried out the murder last week and those who attacked Arab passangers in buses and in the streets listen to these sort of ideas as good ones so I advise you to select your words carefully.

There are people who are happy by the current state of affairs and some start raising their heads calling for Arabs to be killed and villages to be raised etc.

I sure hope you are not one of those.

    • Will Jews riot and burn down train railings like the Arabs do?

Burn ? I would avoid using that word under the circumstances ….

  3. Your revulsion from this foul act is shared by most of Israel, I should imagine.

I wonder that the same feeling was not expressed by our neighbours, the Arabs of the region, for the murders of all four of the very young victims without regard for nationality or religion.

    • They feelings were expressed by depicting them in the PLO newspaper as three trapped rats. But when we compare our behavior to them then we must be racists.

  4. Look at Fatah showing the kidnapped teens as rats.

As long as the Palestinians do not regard the Jews as people, but as descendants of pigs and apes there will never be a peace deal.
The Palestinians will never experience a civilized culture or community as long as their corrupt, racist, religiously intolerant leaders and elders promote terrorism and hatred towards non-muslims.

I believe its urgent that Joshua Mitnick condemn the fascist nature of the Palestinians. But i’m not holding my breath.

    • Ken You are a real bad example of Hasbara. How are you going to convince that the soldiers beating a 15 year old Palestinian boy are anti-fascists beating the hell out of a fascist. There is going to be no peace until Palestinians are accorded justice. The current cycle of violence has not done the Israeli Hasbara industry any favors.

      • “There is going to be no peace until Palestinians are accorded justice.”

Oh….. It’s justice. So, no justice is necessary when murdering 3 Israeli teenagers? Why are you so not worried about the ACTUAL MURDERS THAT STARTED THIS SHIT?

That’s a rhetorical question, obviously. You’re not what anyone with a brain would consider to be a Thinker. A Tinker, maybe. A Brainless Little Hitler, obviously. But Thinking is way out of your league.

        • Kauf I would have liked IDF soldiers who killed the boys on the Nakba Day to be arrested and tried for murder. It did not happen. The Seven Palestinians who were killed following the kidnapping of the three Jewish boys their murderers have also not been arrested. There is no investigation going on in their killings. Already, without trial two of the suspected killers of the Jewish boys have been punished. Their houses have been demolished. Of course, this is what typifies Israel as an Apartheid state where two different laws for two different peoples operate.

          • I’m sure there are many crimes in that putrid, hate filled noggin of yours for you to blame on all Israel and all Jews. But never, ever admit you’re adamant nutjob with no life other than bashing Jews online.

You really are an embarrassment to the human race.

          • Jane your pals are definitely looking for a new big kicking of their collective arses:
From the Fatah official Facebook page::
Sons of Zion, this is an oath
to the Lord of the Heavens:
Prepare all the bags you can for your body parts”
We wish for the blood to become rivers

You can start to save your tears for your comrades…

          • Is it?
Are they demolishing every house in said neighbourhood or just beloging to culprits?

  5. We Jews must always be prepared to condemn genuine crimes committed against any person whatever their ethnicity. I am glad that these sentiments are being expressed here on CiF Watch. One of the earliest commandments was to institute courts of law and a proper legal system of justice. Such a principle should apply to all nations on Earth.

    • “We Jews must always be prepared to condemn genuine crimes committed against any person whatever their ethnicity. ”
      And we do.

  6. Did we see any system of justice when the cousin of the dead boy was beaten by the IDF soldiers? The Judge refused to allow the parents to see their beaten son and he was kept in prison for a further 24 hours. The beaten boy was questioned without the presence of his guardians. His father was not allowed to be with him after the doctors advised that the child needs to be monitored for any internal bleeding arising out of the beatings. This is not a good example of the system of justice no matter how one spins it. Spin on. Note, the beating was not administered by criminals but by those who claim to be the sole law enforcing authority over the occupied.

    • I know, it was really awful.

There he was, minding his own business, just walking along in the middle of a riot while masking his face and holding a large knife. It could have happened to ANYone… haven’t most of us walked into riots with a large knife and our faces covered? And then brandished the knife at police?

      • very well said adam, for once i totally agree with you , have a word with some of the idiots here who only seek to create more violence

      • I wonder if any of the people above condemning the murder of Mohammed Abu Khdeir recommended this post?

Here we have cba justifying the apparent beating of Tariq Abu Khdeir by Israeli security forces.

        So much for sincerity …

        • If you threaten security forces with a large knife, while in the middle of a violent riot and with your face masked, you can hardly complain if they use force to disarm you.

          • You are right, of course, but those security forces should exercise restraint in the level of force they use. Enough to disarm/restrain, but no more. It certainly seems at first rush that these particular policemen exceeded that, but (as with the murderers of Khadir), if they did so, they will be punished under the law, as is right and proper.

    • Tehran Jane I note that you are attempting to behave as a provocateur, while as usual ignoring the subject of the thread.
Not a surprise as it is also not a surprise that should anyone put any questions to you your reaction will be to try to ignore them then when that fails try to divert attention away from your inability to engage in any meaningful exchange of views.

Of course as is becoming increasingly obvious you are not only unable to engage in a meaningful exchange of views it is not your intention to do so. All you want to do is post your, usually garbled, propaganda for the kleptocrats of Fatah and the Fascist thugs of Hamas.

    • The beaten boy was an inoccent bystander according to his word.
Sadly he was wearing a balaklava hiding his face and throwing molotov cocktail on the police.
some of the four people arrested with this “innocent” American tourist had knives on them.

I guess they just planned to cut some apples in the picnic they were having.
It just happened that the picnic happened to take place in the middle of a riot.

What a terrible luck these boys must be having.

  7. neither does Khdeir’s murder justify the violence, terrorism, destruction and incitement we have seen over the past few days against Israelis and Jews.

And the incitement against Palestinians and Israeli Arabs (by Foreign MInister Yvet Lieberman, no less)? And the racist thugs who ransacked Palestinian-owned cars in Jerusalem and who chanted Death to the Arabs while rioting at the entrance to Jerusalem?

How convenient to turn it back on the Palestinians

    • And the incitement against Palestinians and Israeli Arabs (by Foreign MInister Yvet Lieberman, no less)?
Maybe you should serve some reference to support your allegations.
And the racist thugs who ransacked Palestinian-owned cars in Jerusalem and who chanted Death to the Arabs while rioting at the entrance to Jerusalem?
They are a small minority pile of stinking shit. In your camp they are the huge majority.

    • There have been 45 missiles launched against Sderot since the funerals earlier this week. Your silence of that is deafening.

Meanwhile, the peace deal is still on the table. Bibi didn’t retract it for some vague reasons even when he’s got some specific reasons to give up on it. I wish you could see some of the benefits of having Israel to deal with rather than making yourself a bigger ass for Israel to deal with, capiche?

    • You seem to have deliberately misread the article by Adam. He clearly does NOT “turn it back on the Palestinians”. He merely points out that murder in the name of revenge is a bad thing whatever the identity of the perpetrator. He clearly says that it’s abhorent when it is committed by Israeli Jews (as this awful murder apparently was), but asks for some sort of recognition that it is also abhorent when committed against Israeli Jewish teenagers by Palestinians.

Is that too hard for you to grasp?

  8. Here is the reference – Instead of calling for calm at a time as critical as the day the bodies of the three murdered Israelis were found, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu quoted from the poet, Haim Bialik: “Vengeance for the blood of a small child.”

Other ministers within his settler-enabling government have spoken in similar vein. Economy Minister Naftali Bennet wrote on Facebook: “Murderers of children and those who direct them cannot be forgiven. Now is a time for action, not words.”

Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman used the clashes on the streets of Israel’s mixed cities to say that Palestinian citizens of Israel should be given a “clear message” and that “the place of these people is not Israel”.

    • Jane you must be very lucky that malevolent stupidity won’t cause physical pain. Lieberman and Bennett spoke about hitting Hamas and the persons personally responsible for the murder. The clear message you are speaking about was addressed to those Arab citizens who are demonstrating violently and break the low. It was clear really for everybody apart from your kind of semi-literate Jew haters.

    • Jane:
Why don’t you quote the entire poem ?
Cursed is he who says ‘Revenge!’
Vengeance for the blood of a small child
      Satan has not yet created.

  9. “If a trial finds that Jews are indeed guilty of this unconscionable killing, our condemnation is redoubled. The idea that Jews could do such an act fills us with shame and horror.”

Surely you weren’t stupid enough to think Jews were incapable of such acts…so what if the murderers are Jewish. They’re no more representative of Jews than the Moors murderers are representative of the British.

  10. Adam as someone who has issues with this website all I can say is well said. I could likely shake your hand or buy you a beer whatever your preference is. I would say the same to all of the posters up to, and including, JayinPhiladelphia. After that it slipped into the usual. The usual being something not limited to this site or Pro/Anti Israeli sites.

Class act and I have to say admire and agree with the sentiments.

  11. I’m of the extreme right wing, and I view their cowardly act as the most damaging for people of Israel. by every definition they are terrorists and I hope that the courts make an example of them. The government of Israel had a momentum and a course of action against real terrorists, they were going to deploy IDF against real terrorist and this one random act of blind hatred and terror against an Israeli Arab in Israeli proper has literally stopped the government and IDF in its tracks! They are supposed to be the extreme right but they in fact defeated the will and the wishes of every right-wing individual in Israel. Saved the Hamas a good number of casualties so it’s no wonder that they are now calling the boy as a martyr. What have they achieved, nothing, they only hurt a single Arab-Israeli boy who by the looks of it would have never been able to harm a fly…

    • They have done tremendous damage to Israel’s good name. I have little doubt we will see this horrific murder referred to repeatedly in the media and blogosphere for years to come to justify various kinds of attacks and discrimination against Israel.

      • They have indeed. They have committed a huge Chilul Hashem, not to mention one of the unforgiveable sins. I have no idea if the alleged perpatrators claim to be religious in any way, but if so, they must fear retribution for this disgusting deed from an authority far higher than the Israeli courts.

        • Worse is the IDF soldiers beating a child, even if he had thrown stones or was wearing a Palestinian scarf does not justifies that kind of beating as we saw on our TV’s yesterday. Have these soldiers been suspended pending enquirers? The world would be judging Israel on how it handles the whole affair and rightly so.

          • Not surprisingly, you’re here to make a Federal case off of less than 3 minutes of film. Beatings are terrible, no doubt about it. At least in Israel there is transparency. Not that you’ll see it, because the only thing you see is what you want to see.

Speaking of which, have you seen any articles highlighting the PA’s investigation into the whereabouts of the two Hamas figures pegged as the main suspects in the kidnapping and murder of our boys? Of course you haven’t. Neither have I.

            • It is more than a federal case. It should be brought to the International Court in Hague. It is an extraordinary abuse of power. It is committed by those who claim to be maintaining law and order. There is no transparency here. The recordings are not supplied by the IDF or the Israeli government by the by those who have recorded it without the knowledge of the Israeli occupation forces. Please refrain from spinning. As for the two suspected of killing the Jewish boys, Israel has once again decided the guilt and punished the culprits. In their absence. Their houses have been destroyed and several hundred Palestinians arrested. Kangaroo courts that the Zionist regime administers in the occupied territories does not leave any room for the PA.

              • The Hague, huh? There’s a video of a CHP officer beating down a woman on the side of the I-10 freeway in Los Angeles. That happened this weekend. I am sure the Hague is going to be interested in that as well.

I notice you’ve got an interesting perspective of violence. IDF/Israeli Police should be brought to the Hague for transgressions while blowing up a pizza parlor should earn the depressed teen walking bomb (injected with Hep-A,B,C and HIV viruses) and his handlers get boucoup bucks and town squares named after them.

You are the biggest waste of space on this planet. The reason why no one respects you, “Jane”, is because you are the dumbest, most pathetic dipshit ever.

                • The first port of call is for the State concerned to take action. The officer in the case of the US has been suspended pending inquiries. The American/Palestinian boy beaten up by the IOF soldiers is under house arrest instead of the soldiers suspended. Of course, if Israeli administration had done the decent thing apologized to the victim of child abuse and suspended the soldiers concerned pending inquiries there would have been no need to refer the matter to the international court.

                • Jane,
Not only you inventing entities like Palestine, now you inventing armed forces called IOF?
                  What next, Martians?

  12. Israel has arrested 6 suspects. If the are indicted, and stand trial, and are convicted, they will face the same law and punishment as anyone else in Israel.

That is how a civilized country behaves, and I am confident will happen.

This vigilante/terrorist killing must be stopped, and will be stopped, on both sides. By force, if necessary.

  13. The murder of the young Arab Mohammed presumably by Jewish right extremists, cannot be justified, only condemmed.

The mixing of this murder with the beating of the young US citizen relativises the murder as this context mingling leads to questions quite unconfortable for those who purposely conflate. One wonders what the young man has learnt in the USA, stone throwing and going after soldiers in Israel?
Masked people mask for reason of hiding identity (for those asini who ask for it) and when threatening soldiers they should not complain when only being beaten and not shot at. What they think they will get? Eternal life?

That Antisemites can`t stop faking even niow they prove again when publicising a video which allegedly shows the beating of this US citizen but shows a man without hairs being beaten, during an anti-terror operation.

    • I wonder why the IDF teaches it young soldiers to go round beating young boys. Is there a culture of child abuse that permeates the IDF or the Israeli society? Is this the direct consequence of Zionist ideology?

        • Not according to the Haaretz

“The plan expresses the Education Ministry’s agenda, and principals understand that they don’t need to invest any effort in spheres not covered by the plan,” stated the principal of one Tel Aviv high school. Polls of Israeli youth from the past few years show an increase in racism and anti-democratic attitudes, the principal said. With this in mind, “one might have expected the Education Ministry to set a clear policy of teaching civics and democracy. These subjects’ absence from the work plan is very conspicuous, and it’s hard to imagine that it is a coincidence.”

A survey released two weeks ago found that 60% of Jewish youths aged 15-18 believe “strong” leaders are more important than the rule of law, and 70% believe that when the state’s security needs and democratic values conflict, security should win out. In addition, 46% said Arabs should not be allowed to serve in the Knesset, and 50% said they opposed having Arabs live in their neighborhood. The main trend is that Jewish nationalist values were growing stronger, and respect for democratic-liberal values were weakening, concluded the survey-makers.

“If priorities are to be set in education today, they should involve democracy education, and education for cooperation between Jewish and Arabs,” said Solomon.

          • Jane I suggest you some cheap course of reading and understanding very simple texts. I doubt that this would help you but seemingly you have a lot of free time so why not?

      • Jane – there’s a word for someone who takes isolated incidents of alleged bad behaviour, and uses that to generalise across an entire people.

Now – can anyone help me remember what that word is?

        • Labenal The killing of 7 Palestinians in just under weeks by an authority is more than isolated. The word you were looking for is racist, It is you, your Zionist state and the bloggers who indulge in that form of racism more than anybody else.

          • Jane, your lack of context adds to the absolute lack of credibility you carry. You can post that the Sky is Blue, and the first I’ll do is check the news for where there might be a nuclear war. Everything you say is generalized. Nothing you say is specific. In short, you provide nothing but your shrilly voice and cross-dressing moniker.

For Fuck Sake, man, your entire life is an experiment in utter failure. Wake up, Bigot.

            • The 7 Palestinian killed during the investigation into the kidnappings by the IDF is very specific. They were particular Palestinians who had nothing to do with the kidnapping. If your abusive comments are the best example of hasbara this propaganda is not going to be convincing is it?

              • “If your abusive comments are the best example of hasbara this propaganda is not going to be convincing is it?”

Tehran Jane let’s look at the last part of that sentence first.
Whatever made you think that anyone in their right mind believes that an anti-Semitic bigot such as you is open minded enough to be convinced about the truth of what is actually happening?
                As for abuse.
What about the abuse everyone is subjected to every time you post?
                Your abuse of history.
                Your abuse of truth.
Your abuse of basic human intelligence.

                • Grow up Gerald
I abuse History because I do not accept that your grandfather lived in that house 2000 years ago.
I abuse truth because I refuse to accept your assertion that Palestinians do not exist.
Well as for human intelligence already 17 EU countries have warned against trading with Israeli settlements, Amnesty International, UN and many other international organisations considers Israel violates Human Rights and international law.

                • Tehran Jane as usual you do not attempt to answer points made.

Your tactics of relying on posting a load of unsubstantiated meaningless waffle is now beyond boring. IF you had a modicum of intelligence you would see how badly you are embarrassing yourself, as well as abusing the intelligence of others.

That you do not, or cannot, is a clear demonstration of your sub-standard intellect.

              • It’s not specific, you babbling idiot. What are their names and what were they doing? Are these the 7 who died in a tunnel when one of their explosions went off prematurely? Propaganda isn’t defined by writing stuff that an ingrate sack of shit like you doesn’t like to hear.

Seriously, you are an embarrassment to this entire planet. And folks are waking up to worthless shits like you. It may take awhile, but if you think your life is empty, pathetic, and worthless now, just imagine what it’s going to be after another 5 years of unhinged Israel bashing.

        • I will beat the shit out of the soldier who came to my house uninvited his gun withstanding

            • So Fritz you would have welcomed the Gestapo entering your house without being invited you Nazi Gestapo loving fascist

              • Thanks again, NatzieJane for proving that you are one of these new antisemites, hating Jews so much that they equalise them with nazis.
We `ll take care of you later.

            • Did you tell this to the nurse too? What a macho hero!Somehow it seems to me that the shit has been beaten out of you and the comrades…just ask them in Gaza and Judea/Samaria…

              • So you admit to the atrocities the Zionist entity is currently engaged in Hungarian. Are you actively involved in the atrocities or you are just providing background non-combative support to the IDF as a fellow racist. Are you justly proud of being complicit in the deaths of the children.

                • But of course Jane. I’m responsible for the secure storing of their blood until Passover. But you should decide what you want – to beat the shit of out of us or whining when you got your reward for it….One minute the big macho hero, the next the screaming crybaby. Instead of brain you have different personalities Jane, I would call them The Loser, The Stupid and the Pigshit …

          • “I will beat the shit out of the soldier who came to my house uninvited..”
Tehran Jane you are too cowardly to post under your real name, or answer questions. Yet you expect people to believe that you would “..beat the shit out of the soldier..”
Face the truth, YOU like the others of your ilk would be hiding under a bed wetting yourselves in fear if there was a loud noise near you.
Your fantasies, like your version of history and the truth, are getting more unbelievable.

  14. It’s interesting that you feel the need to “dissociate” yourselves from this heinous act. You obviously realise that this nasty little site of self-congratulatory arab-hating bigots must project that same reputation you daily attempt to deny through the mouthpiece your regular paid hasbara commentators who daily insult the intelligence of right-thinking folks.

However I agree that both acts were unforgivable. At least the Jewish victims didn’t have petrol poured down their throats and set alight from the inside.

Cruelty is cruelty whether Palestinian or Israeli.

    • The same as ever, equalising and demonising, typical for the new type of antisemites.
      Cruelty whether … equalising
      At least …. demonising
Well, the truth is Jews condemn murder, the so called Palestinians cheer it.

  15. “At least the Jewish victims didn’t have petrol poured down their throats and set alight from the inside.”

And when ‘right-thinking folks’ read that kind of remark what do you think they will regard you as?
I can’t, nor do I intend to, answer for ‘right-thinking folks’. But to me it is a clear example of what a nasty, repulsive, little anti-Semite you are. A low life who is so desperate to attack Israel that they will use the suffering of victims to have a sly little dig while shedding ‘crocodile tears’ for ‘Jewish victims’.

    You are beneath contempt.

    • That’s all you have left. False accusations of antisemitism. Listen to LBC to see how far that gets you!

      • ‘alex’ I can see no reason in your reply to change my view expressed in my post above.

      • Why do you care if we think you’re an anti-Semite? Why do you care what we think when you insist the very worst for all of us because we think you’re a fucking nincompoop?

        • Nobody does kouf because of your abuse of the term anti-Semite. You have cheapened it and made it irrelevant by using it as a defense of the atrocities the Zionist regime commits against the Palestinians.

          • You’re not even a woman, Jane, let alone a decent human being. You live a lie because you are a lie. That’s your life. I am not the cause of you being a particularly pathetic example of human trash.

          • Jane you are waiting for you in Gaza in need for human shields. Maybe they are not aware yet that you don’t satisfy the requirements by definition (regarding the human part). Now go and complain in the UN…

          • Jane:

“You have cheapened it (the term anti-Semite) and made it irrelevant…”

You really think we believe you ever thought much of this term in the first place?
Do you really think we’ll believe your crocodile tears about any hatred of Jews?

  16. Jane:

    “I abuse History because…”

Enough said about the troll Jane Mardell.

  17. Alex:

““At least the Jewish victims didn’t have petrol poured down their throats and set alight from the inside.””

No, they were torn limb from limb for taking a wrong turn and asked for dircetions.
Are these the actions of noble “freedom fighters” you speak so gallantly of?

  18. We are told Canadian government representative met with Khdeir’s family to express Canada’s condolences for the teenager’s death. The statement went on to praise Israeli authorities for their “diligence and determination” while investigating the murder.

    Oh Really?

One Palestinian child has been killed by Israel every 3 days for the past 13 years
1,518 Palestinian children were killed by Israel’s occupation forces from September 2000 up to April 2013. That’s the equivalent of one Palestinian child killed by Israel every 3 days for almost 13 years. The number of children injured by the Israelis has now reached 6,000.

9,000 Palestinians under 18 years old have been arrested since the end of September 2000. Almost two hundred and fifty Palestinian minors are being held in prison by Israel; 47 of them are children under 16 years of age.

  19. Thank you for your posts. They continually inspire and move me to take action. I hope you don’t mind if I reblog them. Israel and Jews everywhere value life, and are not happy or proud that Jews were able to commit such a heinous crime.
