At London rally, Guardian editor accuses ‘terrorist’ Israel of ‘industrial-scale’ killing

Here’s a clip of the speech given by Guardian Associate Editor (and former Stalinist) Seumas Milne in front of tens of thousands of anti-Israel protesters at Hyde Park in London this past Saturday.  During the four-minute speech, Milne explicitly justified Palestinian terror attacks on Israelis (a refrain from his Guardian column in mid-July), and accused ‘terrorist’ Israel of “industrial scale” killing in Gaza.

  1. ‘…and accused ‘terrorist’ Israel of “industrial scale” killing in Gaza. ‘

This is Milne’s hope, for he’s never more alive than when he believes Israel is behaving wrongly.

    • Killing on an “industrial scale.” Now where have I heard that before? Let’s see, it was something in history in the mid 20th century. Am I getting warm, Seamus?

Of course, if Shameless were to speechify about any of the real slaughters by real serial killers he’d lose most of his audience. After all, what’s a comedian without an audience? And Seamus really deserves some laughs for his impersonation of a Hamas minister.
Am sure all proletariat love maximum total supreme funny joke from comrade Milne.

    • Milne’s hope is the destruction of Israel whatever may be the fate of the Jewish citizens of that nation in that event. Not so different in many ways to the kind of people who seventy-five years ago were cheering on the SS and Gestapo.

    • Ben White rejected the original Egyptian brokered truce, 1800 lives before a similar one was accepted. Given the blockade may be lifted by giving up the war to destroy Israel, this is a very round about way of achieving that end, and one needs ask why.

        • Having said that, I suspect that breaking up the Fatah-Hamas unity government was likely a factor.

      • It was never about the truce but about getting 2 outcomes.
Getting the west or parts in the west to rethink their armes dealing with Israel and also getting Israelis to worry about the Hague.

All I can say is good luck Europeans on your next venture to the ME…

    • I tried to post earlier, but my comment did not appear. I wrote that if Mr Milne continues to behave as he does he may well not enjoy life on earth as he knows it for very much longer.

    • This is Milne’s hope, for he’s never more alive than when he believes Israel is behaving wrongly.

Not true. With Israel he’s positively comotose compared with the explosive hate unleashed when he attacks America.

Not that this makes his “industrial scale” comment any less repulsive.

  2. As others have observed, Milne’s reference to ‘industrial scale killing’ is a clear case of making a false equivalence between Israel and the Nazis and of, therefore, Holocaust minimisation.

  3. He has a long history of describing Israel as a “Terrorist”. He also criticized Britain and the US for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan but for some reason he saves a special Nazi-like terminology for Israel alone.

  4. <i<industrial scale
Reminding of the NS crimes of industrial scale, he implicitly equates Israel and NS.

  5. He doesn’t even pretend to talk about peace or disguise his hatred any more. I guess he doesn’t have to now there are so many Muslims in England and the general state of political apathy towards Islamic extremism in the UK.

Any Jew that stays in the UK and Europe is just plain stupid. Where do you think this is all leading?

    • Crusader:

“Any Jew that stays in the UK and Europe is just plain stupid.”

Last time crusaders pretended to “care” for Jews it ended up with the Jews’ slaughter by Charles the lion heart troops.

I can tell you that I have been in the UK since 97 and have only once had an issue of Anti Semitism.
I mix with many type of people and live far away from a large Jewish concentration.
In contrast, Jewish people in Jerusalem, and the north and old city in particular, suffer greatly when walking alone at night.

That does not mean that Israel is not safe or that the UK is. It goes to show that things should be taken into perspective at times.

Compare how many Jewish people were beaten, wounded or murdered in the UK with the same amount of Jewish civilian in Israel.
The result will tell you if staying in the UK is being stupid or sensible.

    • You are confusing the vast majority of EU populations who either don’t know or don’t care about anything to do with the conflict, with a small and very vocal and ugly alliance of Marxists, Islamists, and the mentally deranged. (NOT mutually exclusive groups BTW. Old Semaus is a member of all three). The Guardian just happens to count on these people to buy their newspaper.

Most Britons HATE these people, and the damage they are doing to the UK.

  6. Melanie Phillips wrote an article in “The Spectator” on 24th March 2009 titled ‘The Guardian goes to Pallywood’ in which she wrote;

“Lazy, malicious use of partisan, uncorroborated, thin, ambiguous and on occasion demonstrably absurd allegations, with the purpose and effect of demonising and delegitimising the Israeli victims of terrorism by painting them as the terrorists and their Palestinian attackers as their victims”

    plus ca change.

    • good old Gerry using Mel , she takes the Israeli shilling , so like you her views are not bought and paid for at all, ha ha

      • Noam now there is a cease fire you have slithered out from under your rock.

Was living in a pool of your own urine and excrement along with the putrid smell of your own fear, too much for you and the other cowardly Fascist thugs in Hamas?

      • Of course, troll. Everyone who has an opinion contradicting yours is obviously paid by the Israeli government.

        • how come all the same zionist fools appear on here, time and time and time again, same old bullshit from the same people, now , i think these regulars are on adams payroll and his bosses are, answers on a postcard please

    • Haha. I don’t know quite what to make of Freedland to be honest. He kind of likes walking the line between what I’d call “Moderate Jew” and “Righteous Liberal”. The “Freedland” of course somehow makes him an expert on all kinds of things Jewy or Israeli. I suspect the deranged reader-base like Milne better though.

  7. A case could be made that Milne is approving war until Israel’s extinction, that is what he means by ‘resistance’, if his going all the way back to the Balfour Declaration indicates dissatisfaction with the existence of any Jewish national entity or state entity. Essentially he is implying that not only UNGR 181 is unjust, and merits some kind of redress, but its origins are too. Is there any evidence of a desire for 2 states in Milne’s speech?

  8. What’s up to all, since I am in fact eager of reading this website’s post
to be updated regularly. It consists of fastidious information.

  9. Anyway, what Milne proves is the allegation that the editing policy of Al Guardian is directed by a bias against the Jewish state, that Al Guardian serves as mouthpiece of the new antisemitism. A fish rots from the head down.
Thanks, ‘Mr.’ Milne, at least a bit of a service to your enemies.

  10. hey there and thank you for your info – I’ve certainly picked up

  11. Tbh, who cares really? It’s Seamus Milne. This is the guy who claimed the US response to the Haiti earthquake in 2010 was a secret attempt to invade and colonise the place. Any grip on reality he had he sacrificed long ago. He is simply the Peter Pan of politics – a lefty student who never grew up.

  12. When I turned the sound off and watched Milne, for one chilling moment I mistook him for Hitler or one of the Third Reich’s underlings. How can this be allowed in the UK [or anywhere]? I am appalled and sickened by Milne and the Guardian. I am ashamed to be British. And for the first time in my life it does not feel safe to be Jewish in the UK.

  15. I know that you would like to kill more of them but the Israelis are trying hard to kill only the terrorists among them – seems to me very successfully.

  16. The Guardian needs to either fire Seamus or admit that they can’t be impartial in reporting on Israel and Gaza and make an undertaking to never report on either, ever again.
It’s disgusting when newspapers take sides in conflicts. It’s even more disgusting when employees of newspapers set out to slant public opinion against an entire country and it’s population.

    • our minds were already made up , tell me are you proud of Israels contempt for innocent human life, history repeats itself , its as though you cannot speak of the loss of men women children, who were merely guilty of living in Gaza, Israel has done more for the plight of the Palestinians than Hamas could ever have done

      • “Israel has done more for the plight of the Palestinians than Hamas could ever have done”

A Freudian slip, or are you seeing the light and truth at last?

        • yes like Jack the Ripper highlighted the spotlight of the world on to the deprivation and disgusting living conditions of Whitechapel in London, enabling change, psychopaths be they individuals or Israel can bring about good from murderous acts. do you see gerry

          • Noam what are you waffling on about?

            Your illiteracy is getting worse.
What is the matter are you starting to shit and piss yourself in fear again?

              • Noam are you incapable of typing a coherent sentence?

Do you have any praiseworthy characteristics?
Or are you just the lying, illiterate, retarded coward you portray yourself as by the incoherent gibberish you post?

                • Noam so the answer to the two questions I asked you is?

Take your time Noam, they are probably difficult for an illiterate retard like you to understand.

  17. And his comments from about 3:00 onwards (re. the Balfour declaration) sound very much like a condemnation of the very creation of Israel.

    • it should be condemned , it was a bad creation , been better in Africa, an open space where you would not have to steal others land but hey….

  18. He said that Israel has no right to defend itself from attacks from occupied territories. So apparently he expects Israelis to put their heads on blocks and wait for the swords to descend.

  19. The will often have long oval shaped leaves and could possibly
be variegated. To illustrate what I mean, permit me to recount a predicament where my hubby got it perfect.
The long trumpeted shape of the calla lily, specifically in warm autumnal tones, will build a splash of the bouquet.

Meanings in the flower can also vary by region, size or even on account of historical beliefs.
The stargazer lily could even be complimented with roses and
lots of brides may choose roses for their bouquets and make use of
the stargazer lily for centerpieces in the wedding and reception.
