UK Media Watch prompts correction to Indy claim about ‘bizarre’ #Israeli law

On Sunday, we posted about the following article at the Independent

Number one on their list was a “bizarre” Israeli law:

However, as we noted in our post, though this law was indeed passed by the Knesset in 1998, it was overturned by the Israeli Supreme Court in 2003 and is no longer valid.

After we complained to editors, the false claim was completely removed, and the headline changed from “9 of the most bizarre laws in the world” to “8 of the most bizarre laws in the world”.
