Guardian claims it’s a fact that Rasmieh Odeh was raped & tortured by Israel (update)

A Reuters article published at the Guardian on Feb. 25th on the latest regarding the US legal battle over Palestinian terrorist Rasmieh Yousef Odeh, who killed two in an Israeli supermarket bombing in 1969, included this strapline:
However, as the article makes clear, it is only an unproven claim that Odeh as “raped and tortured”.

Rasmieh Yousef Odeh, 68, has said her confession to the bombing was the result of severe torture by the Israeli military, including rape and electric shocks.

We’ve complained to Guardian editors, requesting a correction. For more background on Odeh, see these posts at Legal Insurrection.

(UPDATE: A few hours after our complaint to editors, the Guardian corrected the error)

  1. They now no longer even bother to use the word “alleged” in the strapline.

They are disgusting and should be sued.

  2. The two she murdered should any young people get behind and and support this terrorist were a couple of University students from South Afriica aged 18 or 19 who went to shop for groceries. This is what has made her a ‘hero’ in the Arab and Palestinian Bazaro World.

  3. Ah the victim role again! Imagine how the the 2 youn University students felt. I remember a few years ago a ש׳ב officer flew to the the USA gave testimony behind a curtain with his face hidden and the Judge accepted his testimony So now this beast is trying to use her same story with another judge.
