The British Daily Mail apparently can’t be sure that Palestinians from the Gaza Strip really fired 180 rockets and mortars at Israel in a 24-hour period earlier this week. A Daily Mail article three times referred to these attacks as “alleged,” as if the fact that Hamas fired 180 rockets and mortars at Israel has not yet been confirmed.
Once again, the Guardian has erased a chapter within the well-documented ethnic cleansing of over 800,000 Jews from Arab countries in the mid 20th century. The latest example involves the history of Jews in Iraq, in the context of a short review by their film critic Peter Bradshaw of Fiona Murphy’s documentary ‘Remembering Baghdad’.
There are not, nor have there ever been, anywhere in Israel or the West Bank, roads exclusively for Jews. False claims over the years at multiple media outlets suggesting the existence of […]
Careful research by CAMERA demonstrated that the alleged quote – suggesting that Ben-Gurion favoured the ethnic cleansing of Arabs – represents the opposite of the truth.
As we’ve argued repeatedly, the Indy – which facies itself a progressive voice whose aim is to ‘comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable, and to ‘speaks truth to power’ – has demonstrated its shameful moral confusion when covering acts of violence and intimidation against Jews by activists who are illiberal, anti-democratic and, more often than not, outright antisemitic.
In an Op-Ed in the Israeli Walla news site, Goren and Rom argued that while they did not think BtS was intentionally lying, the organization’s vetting process was “superficial and not strict enough.” In their opinion, BtS would be more credible were it present the soldiers’ accounts as testimonies for the public to debate and raw material for journalists to investigate, as opposed to verified actual events.
Our colleague Gilead Ini recently posted at CAMERA about a fascinating row that erupted on Twitter and “then spread to journalists and their followers, and eventually to the pages of The New York Times.” Ini characterized it as “a series of misquotes, distortions, and out-of-context comments contributed to the idea that Michael Oren, Israel’s former ambassador to the U.S. and a current Knesset member, had advised Donald Trump to play up the Muslim background of the man who murdered 49 people at a Orlando nightclub”.
Our colleague Tamar Sternthal recently reported the following: One year ago, when HaMevaser, an ultra-Orthodox newspaper in Israel not well-known outside that community, altered a page-three photograph to eliminate Chancellor Angela Merkel of […]

CAMERA has been continually updating a popular post on the recent “wave” of headline fails which have “relied on reportorial smoke and mirrors to obscure Palestinian terror attacks and even recast terrorists […]
Earlier today, CAMERA’s Tamar Sternthal commented on a misleading headline at USA Today. The headline, “Israelis kill 4 Palestinians as violence surges,” noted Sternthal, failed to “clearly report that the four Palestinians were killed […]
In a July 28th article (Huckabee likens Iran deal to Holocaust), Times of London Middle East reporter Hugh Tomlinson claimed that Israel’s prime minister not only opposes the current Iran nuclear deal, but […]
