  1. She’s become an embarrassment. But not to worry. Daddy has lined up a job for her as Head of Futures at Liar & Henry.

  2. Margie, it won’t though, will it? BellaM, is fireproofed by being the boss’s daughter.

No doubt al Groan would consider itself to be a socialist rag, and utterly in tune with a meritocratic approach to employment.

The above is what happens when it lets its hypocrisy really hang out (and what else is new?) and resorts to nepotism.

  3. Bella needs a spell in rehab: cue music:

They Wanna Schlep Belle Back to Rehab
(to the tune of: “They Wanna Take Me Back to Rehab.”)
    (Hat tip: Amy Winehouse)

They wanna schlep Belle back to rehab,
    She says, “oy gevult.”
    Rustbucket pays the bill;
He’s robbed it from the Guardian till.
    She’s not quite adult.

Bridge: It’s a Guide for the Perplexed,
But the Papa says she’s schmecked.
    They wanna schlep her back,
Once Dad’s given her the sack.
    Says he’s been hen-pecked.

They wanna schlep Belle back to rehab,
    From Cif’s House of Horror.
They thought Matt a tocha lekker,
But instead he was a schmecker.
    She said “keyn eyna hora.”

    Bridge 2: The she’ll join the Guardian crew;
    And they do abortions too.
They wanna schlep Belle back to rehab.
    She says: “Gott in Himmel.”
They wanna schlep Belle back to rehab.
    She says, “Ich bin Ferschimmelt.”

  4. Not the sharpest tool in the shed. But being the daddy’s little girl she can be as blunt as.

There should be a blunt twit prevention feature on twitter.

  5. Perhaps it’s because the CiF intellectual calibre is so poor

Cross-posted from Gil Brenner’s thread at http://cifwatch.com/2010/06/30/whose-guardian-is-it/ relevant bits in bold:

“Gili, thanks. I recently read an article in this month’s “Prospect” which argued that long-term reliance only on what the internet tells us, in very much simplified form, about world events (instead of reading a wide selection of reportage which literally gets them thinking) can lead to permanent rewiring of the neurotransmitters in the brain, so that ultimately people cannot “do” complexity and remain in the intellectual shallows.

“Now, the clownish antics of the lovely BellaMac are proof-positive of this (although I suspect that she was well along that route long before she began to twitter or moderate on CiF), but amost every Israel/Palestinian-related article on CiF plays down to this lowest common denominator too.

“Thus perhaps, having embedded into authors’ and the blt commenters’ minds that “Gazans are starving” the compromised hardware in their brains cannot rewire itself to take on board new information. Consequently they get very exercised indeed at anything which contradicts it. I have read articles here by Mitnaged and others about cognitive dissonance which sufficiently explains the psychological results of that, but the “Prospect” article seems to provide us with the physiological underpinning….”

  6. I think you should cut Bella a bit of slack.

It was not her fault she was brought up and indoctrinated in a Left-Wing London upper class area! Remember, she would have been an impressionable witness to all those Middle Class dinner parties daddy organised, where the conversation quickly turned to how much they hate Jews.

    Live long and prosper.

  7. Of course she is, pretzelberg!

Daddy Rustbucket is probably too terrified of her tantrums to fire her. She probably wouldn’t able to hold down a job anywhere else if she tends to get stocious in the mid-afternoon and Daddy Rustbucket would have to think of other ways to make sure she isn’t loose on the streets.

  8. I’m commenting to let you understand what a amazing encounter my wife’s princess had studying your blog. She noticed a good number of things, not to mention what it is like to have an incredible helping style to let men and women smoothly know just exactly several complex things. You really exceeded people’s expectations. Thanks for churning out such beneficial, trustworthy, edifying not to mention easy tips about your topic to Janet.
