Danny Ayalon’s essay,Palestinian Rejectionism is the main obstacle to peace produced the following comments (none of which have been deleted as of the time of this post).

Israelis as cruel ethnic cleansers:

Israelis are “wicked”, “degenerate”.  They “dehumanize”, practice “brutality”, and their crimes “bear comparison with any crime this planet has witnessed.”

Israel plans to “exterminate” Palestinians

Israelis suffer from “mass neurosis”

Israel is a “fascist” regime (and also characterizes Palestinians as “unarmed”)

Jews are an “aggressive race”

  1. Well, what a prize for these exceedingly ugly people: an Israeli VIP to spit – though an aspirate might be better than that plosive – upon.

I looked through the comments fairly quickly this morning and wondered if positive comments had been disappeared.

  2. No new arguments (in fact no “arguments” at all – merely hate filled invective). Where do they find these people?

I think I see Theobald Kath Viner’s game though – she invites an Israeli to put his government’s point of view, so that no-one can say that the Groan doesn’t allow the Israeli point of view, but all the while knowing full well that this vile pack of hyenas will be turned loose on him.

Disgusting, but not surprising in the least.

  3. Read the answer to these posts of a poster called Ruvy:

I’ll make this comment short, sweet and simple. We in Israel do not need you. We in Israel have no respect for you. Except for the left wing twits and fools who live in their isolated world of trying to keep up with you, we don’t care what you think.

Your officials made a joke of the Mandate they undertook to create a Jewish national home here, and encouraged Arab thugs to attack us. Your government shut the door of refuge to hundreds of thousands of Jews who might have fled here to escape the death ovens of Hitler.

YOU Brits were beaten in WWII, whether you recognize that fact or not, and OUR terrorists drove you out of OUR LAND. We owe you nothing. Not even an interview. You should be grateful that Danny Ayalon even is willing to give you one.

You Brits should consider yourselves lucky that we are not as bloodthirsty as our Arab neighbors. Were we, all the human trash you send here to Judea and Samaria to incite violence between Jews and Arabs would return dead.

  4. What I don’t understand is why he would bother publishing in the Guardian. Israel cannot make its case to this crowd and shouldn’t waste any effort trying to.

  5. @pth

I think Ruvy’s odd notion that the British lost WW2 gives us a fair clue as to his grasp on reality.

Seems to me you missed Ruvy’s post, so I repeat the important part just for you:

We in Israel do not need you. We in Israel have no respect for you. Except for the left wing twits and fools who live in their isolated world of trying to keep up with you, we don’t care what you think.

And BTW speaks of you and your kind of human trash.

  7. Golo

Ruvy wrote pretty cleraly that the Brits have been beaten in Palestine by the Israelis. In an Israeli viewpoint the fight against the Brits after 1945 can be considered part of WWII.
Certainly you are aware of the fact that without the US and the SU participation in the war today you would speak German and would sing your hymn: God save Adolf…

  8. Golo check a map of the British Empire before WWII and after, say, 1950 and you will understand what Ruvy means – one example being Palestine which the British hoped to manipulate to their advantage but were driven out of.

  9. Golo,

You are correct that Ruvi’s words regarding WW2 were not very clear but its meaning are very clear and anyone with a bit of knowledge of some of Britain’s responsabilities during WW2 and slightly afterwards can see the serious mess they have caused while running for cover.

This running on the back foot began at the end of the 19 century and was, no doubt, assisted by 2 large wars Britain had on its door step.

Never the less, Britain fail in its commitments to many in the world while it ran from territory after territory.

  10. YOU Brits were beaten in WWII, Had the Americans not come in the Brits would have been beaten, and soundly.

  11. Why does any self-respecting Israeli (or a Jew) even bother writing in the Guardian? Talk about glutton for insults.

Guardian offers up these space in order to show itself as fair, but in reality it is just an opportunity for its anti-Israeli readership to air their insults, thereby giving them what they want. Guardian is neither fair nor balanced. It is a Hamas mouth-piece.

If I were a Jew, I wouldn’t even wipe by back side with this rag.

  12. Most probably when the British retreated from Israel, the British expected the Israelis to be massacred as they were in WW2. A snide end to the Jewish Question.

Armed Jews in Israel, unlike the Jews of WW2, did not need the protection of the Brits.

I wonder how much tea sputtered out, how disappointed the snide British were when the Israelis won.

  13. CiF needs more – far more – contributors writing from the everyday Israeli perspective instead of this token piece that, coming from a minister, is inevitably (as applies to any country) going to be one-sided.

What ever happened to e.g. Petra Marquardt-Bigman?

As for the comments: Stealthbong should be thrown off the site.

  14. @ richardhutton

In what perverse sense is referring to Jews as “an aggressive race” a “great comment”?

  15. Ayalon would have gotten the same disgusting posts from Israelis as well , he is an Idiot that only damages the country , so letting him express his ideas on the guardian only give them more ammunition , too bad I missed this one , I have a lot on my mind regarding Ayalon .

  16. I’m well aware that the war was fought by an alliance of which Britain was but part; also that Britain’s conduct as mandatory power in Palestine was pretty shabby, but I don’t think it makes sense to treat those facts together rather than separately. And Arabella and Peter, we are getting rather sidetracked, but after the BoB Hitler never had the simultaneous control of air and sea needed for a succesful invasion of Britain, and furthermore his army wasn’t trained in amphibious assaults.

  17. This incitement to war, pretty much, against Israel, got 124 votes. Which is presumably why TG let it stand:

This makes it pretty clear. Read it carefully and think about it. Israel, as it presently thinks, in its opinion leaders and political leaders, is our open and declared enemy. It is absolutely intractable. It must be defeated. Instead, we treat it as a wayward friend that can be bribed and coaxed to do the right thing. It is time for embargo and blockade. The Mediterranean can be closed to trade to and from Israeli at Gibraltar and the EU customs houses. Then this would end, no matter what the US does.

Whenever Israelis start losing the moral and legal argument, they can throw in some holocaust references to try and put a spanner in the winning argument. It happens on every I/P piece on CIF that I have read over the past 4 years.

I’ve never seen you on an I/P thread before, and you’re the first person to bring up the Holocaust on this thread – so do stop talking shite.”

    So what is you point?
