UKMW prompts Daily Mail correction to claim Tel Aviv is Israel’s capital

Once again, a British publication has informed consumers ‘Tel Aviv is the capital of Israel’ and, once again, UK Media Watch has prompted a correction to this false claim.  The most recent example involves a Daily Mail article in the Nov. 7th print edition focusing on the Priti Patel row.

You can see the sentence in the article we’re referring to (highlighted in red) in the tweet we sent to the journalist, Emily Kent Smith:

We lodged an official complaint with editors, and also suggested to our followers on Facebook to contact the paper and object to the inaccuracy.

Today, we learned that our complaint was upheld, and this correction appeared in the online and print editions.
